The Daily Games Privacy Policy

Alexey Kononenko is the data controller for the processing described in this policy; KONMAK GAMES is the developer/display name. This Privacy Policy explains how The Daily Trivia and The Daily Letters handle information when you use the mobile apps and related hosted pages, content, and configuration endpoints.

Summary

The Daily Trivia and The Daily Letters do not require an account. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, profile, precise location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, payment details, or social media account.

The app creates a random Privacy ID for the app install. Depending on the app version and runtime configuration, The Daily Trivia and The Daily Letters may use Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase Remote Config, Firebase Installations, Firebase Sessions, Google AdMob contextual ads, and hosted content/configuration files. Remote Config, Installations, and Sessions perform some automatic runtime configuration, installation identifier, session, and technical metadata processing described below. In ads-capable production versions, Google privacy choices are checked before Analytics even when public ads are off. Analytics starts only when our remote setting allows it and Google's consent mode says Analytics storage is granted or does not apply.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use personalized ads in v1.

Information We Process

Privacy ID

When the app first runs, it creates a random Privacy ID and stores it on your device. The Privacy ID is not your name, email address, phone number, or account. It is used to support app installs, app sessions, deletion requests, and Analytics events when Analytics is allowed. Starting with The Daily Trivia 1.0.4, it is not assigned to new Crashlytics reports. Historical or queued 1.0.3 reports may still contain it.

If you reset local data, the app clears local data on your device and creates a new Privacy ID.

Runtime Configuration And Firebase Technical Data

Firebase Remote Config supplies settings used to control app availability, updates, Analytics, ads, support contacts, and similar runtime behavior. The Remote Config SDK automatically processes configuration and technical data such as country, language, time zone, platform and operating-system versions, Firebase app ID, package or bundle identifier, and SDK version. It also uses a Firebase installation identifier to select and return configuration values.

Firebase Installations automatically creates and sends a per-installation identifier that does not identify an account, named person, or physical device, along with Firebase user-agent information about the app, device, operating system, and installed Firebase SDK versions. The app can display this identifier only in hidden developer diagnostics. Reset Local Data attempts to delete the current Firebase installation identifier; a later Firebase request may create a new one.

Firebase Sessions is included with Crashlytics and automatically processes technical app and device metadata, network connection type, session identifiers, and session timing such as when the app enters the foreground. Firebase uses this information to provide crash and reliability metrics. Crashlytics may also process the Firebase installation identifier and Firebase session identifier as part of its technical reliability data.

For The Daily Trivia 1.0.4, where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on our legitimate interests in operating, securing, maintaining, and improving the app for Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase Installations, Firebase Sessions, Remote Config, and related technical processing. These interests include delivering safe runtime configuration, detecting crashes, diagnosing stability problems, protecting app availability, and preventing repeated technical failures. We limit this processing to technical data reasonably needed for those purposes and apply the safeguards described below. We do not place identifier-bearing values such as the adTesterDeviceIds tester allowlist in Remote Config rollouts, because affected rollout parameter values can be attached to Crashlytics reports. This processing is not controlled by the UMP Analytics choice. A different app or release must be assessed before relying on the same basis.

App Usage Analytics

When analytics is enabled in a release, it is allowed only when both our remote setting and the applicable Google consent-mode choice permit it. We then use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used and to improve it. Analytics events may include:

We do not send trivia question prompt text, answer option text, letter grid text, or target word text in analytics events.

Crash And Diagnostic Data

When crash reporting is enabled in a release, we use Firebase Crashlytics to find and fix crashes and stability issues. Starting with The Daily Trivia 1.0.4, Crashlytics runs from app launch in production. Crashlytics operates as a reliability service separate from Firebase Analytics consent and is not controlled by Google UMP or the Privacy Choices screen. Crash reports may include:

New 1.0.4 crash reports do not receive the app Privacy ID. A crash report created or queued by 1.0.3 may retain the Privacy ID and may upload after the app is updated. Clearing or changing the Privacy ID does not remove an existing Crashlytics report. The UMP Analytics choice controls new Analytics collection and therefore new Analytics breadcrumbs; it does not switch Crashlytics collection itself.

Ads

Ads-capable production versions may use Google UMP to check privacy choices even while public ads are remotely off. When ads are enabled in a release and UMP allows an ad request, The Daily Trivia or The Daily Letters may use Google AdMob to show contextual, non-personalized ads at natural breaks in the app experience.

Google and AdMob may process information needed to deliver ads, measure ad performance, prevent fraud and abuse, limit ad frequency, and comply with legal obligations. This may include device and network information, advertising-related identifiers, ad interactions, approximate location derived from network information, and diagnostic data.

We do not use personalized ads in v1.

Hosted Content, Config, And Legal Pages

The apps download game content and runtime configuration from hosted endpoints. Our hosting providers may process standard server/CDN log data, such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp, and error logs. We use this data to deliver content, secure the service, debug problems, and monitor reliability.

Support Emails

If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and whatever information you include. The app may prefill support emails with app version, build number, platform, product, and Privacy ID so we can understand and respond to your request.

Security

The apps use HTTPS/TLS for connections to Firebase, Google AdMob, and our hosted content, configuration, and legal pages. Data stored locally is kept in app-private storage protected by the operating system's app sandbox. We rely on provider access controls and limit operational access to people who need it for support, security, analytics, or app maintenance.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the data and services described in this policy.

Your Choices And Requests

Privacy Choices

Where Google UMP privacy options are available, you can open Privacy Choices in Settings to review or change consent-controlled Analytics and advertising choices. Withdrawing Analytics storage consent stops new Analytics collection. Crashlytics reliability processing is not controlled by UMP. You can contact us to exercise any applicable objection or other privacy right regarding that separate processing.

Crash Reporting Objections

You may object to crash-reporting processing based on your particular situation by emailing aleksei.kononenko.pm@gmail.com. We will review the request and respond as required by applicable law. We may continue processing where applicable law permits us to demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds or where processing is needed for legal claims.

The Daily Trivia 1.0.4 does not provide a per-install Crashlytics switch, and we cannot remotely disable Crashlytics for a particular installation. Uninstalling the app prevents the app and its SDKs from collecting or sending new data from that installation after uninstall. Uninstalling does not delete reports already received by Firebase.

Because new 1.0.4 crash reports do not contain the app Privacy ID or an account identifier, we may be unable to identify a specific report from a request. We will not require or create additional identifying information solely to make otherwise unidentifiable crash reports identifiable. If we cannot identify relevant records, we will explain that in our response.

Reset Local Data

You can use Reset Local Data in the app settings. This clears local data stored on your device, including progress, settings, local caches, local diagnostics logs, and the current Privacy ID. After reset, the app creates a new Privacy ID.

Reset Local Data does not automatically delete analytics, crash, CDN, or advertising records already received by third-party providers. It also does not delete Crashlytics reports already created or queued by the SDK; queued reports may upload on a later launch.

Request Data Deletion

You can use Request Data Deletion in the app settings or email us at aleksei.kononenko.pm@gmail.com. Include your Privacy ID if possible. Without an account, email address, or Privacy ID, we may not be able to identify records related to your app install.

Where we can identify relevant records, we will handle deletion requests according to applicable law and the tools available from our service providers.

Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, withdrawal of consent, or a complaint to a privacy authority. To make a request, contact us at aleksei.kononenko.pm@gmail.com. You may also complain to your local data protection supervisory authority.

Retention

We keep local data on your device until you reset it, uninstall the app, or the operating system removes it.

When analytics is enabled, we keep install-level analytics data according to the configured Google Analytics retention settings and only as long as needed for product measurement, security, legal, or operational reasons. Aggregated or de-identified summaries may be kept longer.

Google states that Firebase Crashlytics keeps crash stack traces and associated identifiers for 90 days before beginning removal from live and backup systems. Other diagnostic, support, and server log data are kept only as long as needed for support, security, reliability, legal compliance, and app operation.

Children

The Daily Trivia and The Daily Letters are not directed to children under 13. Users under 13 should not use the apps. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 provided information to us, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

International Processing

The Daily Trivia and The Daily Letters may be used in different countries. Information may be processed in countries other than where you live, including by Google and Firebase infrastructure when those services are enabled.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the Last updated date above.
